Toyota Hilux Hl3 For Sale From UK At Reasonable Price

Do You Know About Hybrid Synergy Drive, If You Are Interested To Buy Toyota Hilux Hl3 For Sale

The Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD) of Toyota associates the action of an endothermic engine, running on petrol and running according to the Atkinson cycle, with two synchronous electric motors with three-phase alternating current. So, a buyer of Toyota Hilux hl3 for sale should know about that; This is a system that works in two modes, one in series with the direct connection between the petrol engine and the first electric motor that normally acts as a generator, one in parallel with a second electric motor which works primarily as a propulsion engine.

The Connection

To transform the current from alternating that produced by electric motors into continuous that stored in the battery and vice versa, the system then relies on an inverter/converter that is also able to vary the voltage of the current. The connection between the two systems and the final transmission, which also drives the wheels, takes place via an epicyclic gear train and a planetary gearbox called ‘Power Split Device’. Please note that, if you want to use that innovation, so you need to check and ask about that before pay the used Toyota Hilux hl3 price. Besides, please note that a typical epicyclic group consists of a central gear (solar pinion) gripped with some satellites, gears mounted on the pins of a satellite carrier cage that are also gripped with the crown with internal teeth that encloses the whole. Thus there are three coaxial shafts, connected respectively with the solar pinion, the satellite carrier cage and the crown. The motion can therefore always be transmitted on the same axis of rotation, even if with different speeds and pairs.

The Actions

The first degree of action is occupied by the heat engine and the secondary electric motor-generator, second degree by the second primary electric motor, of greater power and delegated to traction and the third by the final transmission to the wheels with group reduction and differential. By continuously changing the locking of the three degrees of freedom, the epicyclic gear train acts as a mimic or the serial operation or the parallel one, allowing the Toyota Prius HSD to be able to move forward only in electric, thermal only or with the combination of both engines. Furthermore, the heat engine is used both for traction and to operate the secondary electric motor which can thus produce electricity. In our case the epicyclic group from the side of the heat engine receives the motion from the latter through the satellite carrier cage, from which the torque is distributed that usually  goes to the crown, which sends it to the final transmission, while a lower portion goes to the solar pinion and therefore to the secondary electric motor.

The Alteration

The crown is toothed externally and this allows it to transmit motion to the final reduction unit and the differential but it also has a second internal toothing, connected to the primary electric motor by means of satellites. Toyota's HSD system, therefore, replaces the classic automatic transmission with a defined electromechanical transmission that behaves like an electronically controlled CVT that Toyota calls e-CVT (electronic continuously variable transmission). To start the heat engine, when necessary, provides the secondary electric motor, which therefore also acts as a starter motor. The operating mode involves the intervention of the first electric motor solo in the operating conditions from zero up to medium power requirements and involves the intervention of the endothermic engine coupled to another electric motor from medium power up to the maximum. If the battery is partially discharged, the car advances with only the heat engine which also takes care of recharging the battery with the initial electric motor.
