Anti Wear
ZDDP (dialkyl dithiophosphate of zinc) is a compound of zinc and phosphorus which until recently formed a component of anti-wear additives. However, due to its propensity to damage the catalyst in the converters, fewer oils are now contained. Even so, older vehicles that have a flat-tappet camshaft or an altered engine with higher spring pressures than the stock ones require special engine oils that include this compound. ZDDP provides the necessary lubrication for the lobes of the cams, the bodies of the lifts, the holes in the lift and other parts of the engine. Besides, Friction modifiers such as Graphite or molybdenum is a friction modifier that helps reduce friction when the engine is running at high temperatures and heavy loads. Aerated Oil
Under high engine temperature conditions, engine oil can oxidize when it reacts with oxygen. If this happens, the engine oil will age quickly, thicken and form mud. If the engine oil is frothy and blisters, it cannot cover all the important parts of the engine and keep it cool. As a result, it can cause severe engine damage, especially at high temperatures. Anti-foam additives prevent air from compressing in the oil and foaming even if there is an excess of oil in the crankshaft due to overfilling.
