Audi Q5 SE For Sale From UK At Reasonable Price

The Flywheel is Incorporated in Audi Q5 SE  For Sale To Reduce The Vibrations

The flywheel in vehicle is a steel disk that connects the clutch and the crankshaft, with the purpose of transmitting and regularizing the rotation of the latter and allowing coupling with the clutch and that technical aspect is also the part of Audi q5 SE  for sale.

The Flywheel

The flywheel accumulates excess torque during the active phases of the engine (combustion /expansion) and releases it during passive phases, so as to regularize the operation of the engine. Furthermore, on the circumference of the flywheel, there is a crown wheel on which the starter pinion engages. Previously, the flywheel is made up of a single solid metal disc and the clutch disc is equipped with springs inside it so as to absorb excessive vibrations. With the advent of vehicles capable of developing very high torques (for example common rail turbo-diesel), it was necessary to break down the flywheel into two parts because the vibrations, if discharged on the clutch, would have led to the breakage of the disk. This in particular by lifting the clutch suddenly with the vehicle stationary and with the engine at maximum torque.

Innovation In Flywheel

As is its fact that innovation is the inevitable part of tech and auto; hence, the two-mass flywheel is the output of those aspects. The discussion is technical but to have such type of info not only secure the resale prices of used cars such as Audi q5 SE  price but also can add value. So, let's turn back to the topic, one part of it (flywheel) is screwed to the flange of the crankshaft (primary flywheel) and the other (secondary flywheel) on which the clutch disc is pressed. The two parts are connected by a turntable that keeps their distance fixed and allows rotation of up to the specific levels with respect to each other. On the secondary flywheel there are some teeth which enter special slots formed on the primary flywheel so as to transmit the motion from the first to the second part of the mechanism: between each tooth and the side of the quarry a strong curved spring is placed which avoids the impact of the connection with transmission and cushion movements.

Reduction In Vibrations

The task of a damper then passes from the clutch disc to the dual-mass flywheel allowing a significant reduction in vibrations and increasing driving comfort. The reduction of the masses due to the breakdown of the flywheel also allows to limit the mechanical resonance of the transmission system by lowering it below the minimum (predefined engine rpm). This is thanks to the elastic behavior of the springs which compensates for the mass inertia. The advantages of the dual-mass flywheel are therefore the greater driving comfort given by the reduction of vibrations and by the displacement of the resonance frequency, while the disadvantages mainly include the high cost and the greater delicacy of the system which tends to break more frequently.
